Rhi, since I first met you, you’ve
been the bounce in my step, the
cherry in my Coke, the shine in
my eyes and the tingle in my
tummy.
You've brought so many wonderful and amazing
things into my life (from art and music to the
greatest little monster the world has known) and
having you as my “wife” and “partner in crime”
has been amazing and wonderful.
And how rad and exciting is it that
we get to share our lives with the
another new Ryles as well?
I still promise to spend forever and a day
by your side, bringing warmth, laughter,
love, and joy. I promise to share
everything with you, including the last
Malteaser
I promised to be yours in the
same ways you could be mine,
and I still will be.
And whilst I promised you swings and
roundabouts, fun times and sad, they
still come with the promise of endless
cups of tea and back rubs.
I promised to say “I’m sorry
whenever I was to blame for
something. And to say it some of the
time I am not. And I guess I still can
do that.
I still promise to listen to you,
even when you’re not talking to
me.
I promised to try and stop making
everything about me, even if we both
know it is. But you know me, I’ll just
have to keep trying.
Rhibee, I promise to support you, encourage
you and lift us both up where we belong. I
promise to check for that “one last thing
before declaring the washing up is done.
This promise intentionally left
blank for no car-related reason.
I promise that we will travel and
see wonders and experience
great things together.
I promise you my heart. And
it is still yours.
There is no one else I could want to
spend my life with more*, which
makes today the greatest day I could
ever know.
*except the Ryles Juniors
I love you Campbell.
I mean, Ryles.
